You can definitely tell that Ninna and Claes enjoy each others company and this afternoon when we captured their engagement session at Elfvik’s beach, Lidingö, we truly had fun. This easy going couple shares the love for dogs, archipelago life and exorcise, will be tying the knot at Dalarö Skans later this summer and we honestly look forward to capture their wedding. We are sure it will be tons of fun!!!

Engagement Session in Grisslehamn

In just a few months time these two sailors are tying the knot at the cutest little island outside of Smögen, the beautiful west coast of Sweden. We will be traveling down there to document the weekend ant can’t wait to share this experience with Lina and Mattias, two really amazing souls. This day, the day of their scheduled e-session, the wind was blowing hard and it was about 2 degrees and snowy rain where coming down. They braved the weather and meet with Sabina in Grisslehamn for a short e-session amongst the old fishing boats and seagulls. Finally we can blog about this shoot!!! Hooray! We did our own take on the bestseller “50 Shades Of Grey” at the gorgeous location Ljung’s Castle situated about 250 km from Stockholm. Together with an amazing styling team, Blombyrån Nyfiken Grön, Holy Sweet and Piz of Cake we created this styled shoot in dreamy powdery pinks, grays and greens. This was brilliantly enough featured on Style Me Pretty Destination but we couldn’t brag about it since the shoot also was bought by the biggest wedding magazine in Sweden, Allt Om Bröllop. But, finally, yesterday the mag hit the stores so now we can show you all the goodness from this stunning set. Thank you to our models Tim and Tilda and to all the crew!

Sunset Session Guell Park Barcelona

Gustaf and Laia, two creative souls that live together in Barcelona. Gustaf, originally from Stockholm, moved to Barcelona in 1999 and works as a fashion designer, Laia is a insanely talented illustrator. We hooked up with this über cool couple in Guell Park for a short sunset session when we recently visited Barcelona.

If you haven’t visited Guell Park, maybe more known as the Gaudi Park, it is definitely a must when in Barcelona. This crazy colorful place was originally part of a commercially unsuccessful housing site. The site was a rocky hill with little vegetation and few trees. One of Gaudi’s best friend and patron, Eusebi Guell ( hence the name of the park ) commissioned Gaudi to design for him and their most famous collaboration was the lush Parc Guell.

Gustaf also designs personalized leather items, on his own label named G Esters, maker of many things.
His Facebook page recollects his various artisanal works, mainly leather accessories, bespoke products, G Esters design applied to the needs of his clients. Check out the creations here!

Hopefully, we will get the honor of photographing Laia and Gustaf’s wedding in a near future, fingers crossed!

Engagement Session in a bright but cold Stockholm

Sara and Simon is getting married on Saturday!!! We hooked up for an engagement session in a very cold but sunny Stockholm 2 weeks ago. Both Sara and Simon are artists and share the love for film, music and photography. They braved the cold while we walked around and shot a few lovely portraits of the two of them. We sincerely hope it will be warmer on Saturday when they tie the knot, can’t wait to photograph their wedding! This engagement session was shot entirely on Kodak Portra 400 and scanned by the amazing Carmencita Film Lab.

Barcelona – Wedding Photographer

A few weeks ago we had the amazing opportunity to hook up with a fellow wedding photographer in Barcelona, Magnus Bogucki, and his gorgeous wife Patricia. An evening of laughter, fun, amazing light and great conversation. It is truly inspiring to get a chance to talk to other professionals in the same field and Magnus and Patricia are both in the wedding biz. Magnus as a highly acclaimed wedding photographer that creates stunning imagery and he has shot weddings all over the world. This evening we headed up to the The Jardins Costa i Llobera, the park is situated on the Montjuïc Mountain and has an amazing view over Barcelona. Still a bit chilly in the air but the light was amazing and the tree’s just started to bloom. Springtime blossoms are so delicate and in combination with the crisp light it created a stunning backdrop for some couple portraits. Adventures on Film – Weekend in Barcelona

I took some Kodak Portra film and two cameras with me to Barcelona. My personal photos are shot with a Canon Elan 7 as I walked around this colorful city. The first day the rained poured down but I kept on walking. Met some interesting folks on the way and my business partner Emmi-Sabina looked at ease. This is the first time in years that I just took out the camera when not working. I like that. Madeleine and Alfred braved the cold, snow and mud during their engagement session in Tyresö, by the castle. We couldn’t have imagined that there would still be tons of snow left in the middle of April when we booked this shoot a few months back. But, we can’t do much about the weather and we are so thankful that the sun came out while shooting. This happy couple is tying the knot at Dalarö Skans this summer and we have the honor and pleasure to document the entire day, really looking forward to it. Archipelago weddings are very special and the light in the archipelago is absolutely stunning.

Summer dates still available to book wedding photographer

Booked wedding photographer yet? The wedding season is about to start and we are almost fully booked, yay! We still have a few dates free so if you are getting married on June 29th, July 13th or August 24th we are still available to shoot you wedding. If you have a Friday or Sunday wedding we have even more available dates in the calendar! Send us an email and tell us about the two of you and your inspiration and ideas for the wedding, we’d be thrilled to talk to you!

We know that many brides thinks that digital files from the wedding photographer is all you need, but we would definitely like to ask you to think about it. Think about how the images will be preserved and think ahead, think 10, 25 or 50 years ahead. Don’t opt out on the wedding album! Will we even have USB sticks, DVDs or hard drives on our computers in 25 years? Probably not. How will we share our memories with our children and grandchildren? Something that we do know is that fine art prints and albums will stand the test of time. Maybe the best way to preserve your memories is in a professionally made wedding album. Genuine photographic enlargements made in a darkroom, that won’t fade or digital files that might disappear on a forgotten hard drive? Think about it. The value of preserving photos, family history and being able to sit down and flip through the pages of an album is priceless.
